President & CEO
John Q. Baumann is the President and CEO of Midmark Corporation.
Prior to holding this position, he joined the Midmark Board of Directors in 2009 and was named Chairman in 2013. He leads the company with a focus on Midmark’s vision, values and strategies that support innovation and growth initiatives to increase the efficiency of healthcare.
A highly skilled and award-winning senior executive with more than 35 years of experience, Baumann, a Cincinnati native, began his career in the Cincinnati office of Arthur Andersen in 1979. He left Arthur Andersen to serve as the COO/CFO of Duro Bag Manufacturing, the largest paper bag manufacturer in the world. He joined Fisher Investment Group in 1994 serving as Vice President, Corporate Development.
In 1997, Baumann became President and Chief Executive Officer of Ampac, a Cincinnati-based global leader in creative packaging solutions serving the retail, food, pharmaceutical and security markets. During his tenure, Ampac increased its size twenty-fold; completed twelve acquisitions; and expanded into Europe where it now operates several global manufacturing centers.
Baumann has won numerous awards for leadership and entrepreneurship, including the 2014 Entrepreneur Vision Award from the Entrepreneur Organization of Cincinnati and Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young in 2005. He also brings the leadership experience from several corporate boards, including Bethesda, Inc., KostUSA, and Basco.
Baumann is active with several charities, including Higher Branches, a charity he and his wife Emily founded to help build community in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati. He is also a board member of The Athenaeum of Ohio.
Baumann received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Xavier University.
Thomas D. Schwieterman
Vice President, Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Tom Schwieterman is the VP of Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for Midmark Corporation– the most trusted name in the field of medical, dental and veterinary examination and procedure equipment, dedicated to helping healthcare providers deliver the most efficient patient care. In this position, “Dr. Tom” oversees the clinical attributes of Midmark’s product and service offerings in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He also researches the latest technologies and emerging trends to find the optimal ways health information technology and medical device innovations can improve provider efficiency and patient outcomes. Dr. Tom also leads the clinical solution development of Midmark’s Device Group which currently includes electrocardiograms, spirometry, and vital signs.
Prior to joining Midmark in 2007, Dr Tom studied family medicine at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, attaining the role of chief resident and president of the hospital resident staff. After residency, he operated a successful private practice in Maria Stein, Ohio. Seeing inefficiencies in his workflow, Dr. Tom created a medical software product called “Chartscribe.”. This product made a significant impact on the way he practiced medicine. Microsoft Corporation recognized Dr. Tom as a leading innovator in health information technology in 2003.
Dr. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in software engineering from Miami University, Ohio, a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and Masters Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University. He remains board certified in family practice.
Vice President, Customer Care and Midmark (India) Pvt. Ltd
Vijay Paliwal is a member of the Board as well as the audit committee at Midmark (India) Private Limited.
Vijay currently heads India for Midmark Corporation. Vijay joined Midmark in 2007 and was responsible for execution of the company's external organic and inorganic strategy. This included target identification, valuation, due-diligence, transaction structure and definitive agreement negotiations as well as integration planning support for medical, dental, animal health and imaging divisions on a global basis.
Prior to joining Midmark, Vijay held positions within M&A and financial planning at Limited Brands, based in Columbus, OH and Sprint Corporation at their global headquarters in Overland Park, KS.
In his M&A roles, Vijay has supported 20+ M&A transactions with total deal valuation of ~$1.6 billion in addition to treasury activities including stock buyback and debt issuance of $2.5 billion. In his FP&A roles, Vijay led the long range planning and in season budgeting and trending for the Victoria's Secret Stores organization as well as provided decision support to the wireless division at Sprint.
Vijay received his MBA in finance from Oklahoma State University, Masters in Marketing and Bachelors in Business from S.P. University, Anand, India.
Amit H Mehta
Director, Midmark (India) Private Limited
Amit H Mehta is a member of the Board at Midmark (India) Private Limited.
Amit has a long association with Janak Healthcare and following the legacy of his father Mr Hasmukh J Mehta who was one of the founding members of Midmark (India) Private Limited.
Amit joined Janak in the year 2006. Initially he handled Exports for a while and established these businesses for Janak. Later on he took the responsibility in establishing Janak in North and Eastern regions in India.
He has been a great source of help in establishing products and services across regions.
Currently Amit handles other business which is trading in photographic material and is an established name as one of the oldest families in the history of photography trade in India.
Sumeet has joined Midmark(India) in August 2016.
Sumeet Aggarwal’s latest role was General Manager in the CEO’s office at Fortis Healthcare, where he led the new business venture vertical in India. Before moving to India, Sumeet was based out of Fortis Healthcare, Singapore as General Manager for Business Development & Strategic Alliances and Director in the Executive Chairman’s office.
Sumeet has served as a catalyst for growing and expanding Fortis Healthcare in the South East Asia region, maximizing share in strategic markets and optimizing operational efficiency. He has worked in conjunction with the Executive Chairman and senior management to develop their vision, revenue opportunities, define critical goals and success factors, fostering innovation and establishing relationships with vendors and partners to maximize business results with an enhanced focus on patient satisfaction.
Prior to joining Fortis Healthcare, Sumeet was a Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum in New York, where he was responsible for leading the engagement of business, political, academic and other thought leaders of society to shape the global health and healthcare agenda of the Forum. His work included spearheading projects that orchestrate the value of investment in health to governments and other stakeholders, articulating key principles and values to achieve better health outcomes.
Sumeet has also spent eight years working as a trusted advisor to large private and public global healthcare clients while working for Deloitte Consulting and Monitor Group in the United States.
Sumeet has a MBA degree from Insead and a Bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) from The University of Arizona.
Robert (Bob) Morris

Bob Morris is the Chief Financial Officer for Midmark Corporation.
He joined Midmark in 2011 and is the executive leader directing the Midmark finance and accounting teams, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, legal and taxation. Morris is also responsible for Midmark’s growth functions, including acquisitions and internally developed products via our product engineering group.
With more than 25 years of professional and managerial experience prior to joining Midmark, Morris was Vice President, Finance for BorgWarner Drivetrain Systems, a worldwide leader in automotive automatic transmission components and four-wheel-drive systems. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Michelman, Inc., a multi-national supplier of packaging coatings and wax/polymer emulsion additives. He began his career with Arthur Andersen in their Greater Cincinnati practice where he became an audit manager, serving manufacturing and construction clients with a particular emphasis on start-up companies, acquisition projects and financial consulting.
Morris is a member of the board, the nominating committee and finance committee for Dayton-based Community Blood Bank/Community Tissue Services, a leading provider of life-saving blood and tissue to more than 2000 hospitals across the nation.
Morris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School “Owners and Presidents Management” program. He earned his CPA in the State of Ohio.
